London, Mar 12 (PTI) King of Pop Michael Jackson continues to rule the hearts of his fans as the pre-sale tickets of his upcoming show in at London's O2 Arena has already sold out, despite 11 more dates being added. The demand for his "This Is It" concert shows, which Jackson announced himself at a press conference on March 5, has been overwhelming, organisers AEG Live said, the Mirror reported in it's online edition. The original 10 dates ran between July 8 and July 28 but today organisers added another 11, dates running until September 1.
"We have witnessed an unprecedented level of demand for the Michael Jackson concerts at The O2. Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, we were unable to facilitate all immediate ticket requests. Apologies to those fans who were unable to log on, but fans should keep on trying to purchase tickets," Ticketmaster's managing director, Chris Edmonds said. No further dates have been announced but organisers said half the number of seats to each show have been held back until the official sale starts tomorrow at 7am. They also told the fans to expect further announcements. The "Thriller" singer, who has returned to the US for rehearsals, is reportedly "ecstatic" about the way the shows are being received.
