London, Mar 13 (PTI) Michael Jackson has added more performances to his concerts in London, which is seen as the King of Pop's comeback, four years after he was cleared of child abuse in the United States. Jackson has added more dates to his "This Is It" shows at the O2 arena here pushing the number of scheduled concerts to 45 and stretching the show dates to 2010, organisers said. The 50-year-old singer who had initially agreed to play 10 concerts is said to be "ecstatic" at the popularity of the shows, reported the Daily Mirror.
The "Thriller" singer who is currently in America rehearsing for the tour is also being lined up for "The X Factor" series of live shows on ITV1 that will kick off later this year. X-factor's owner Simon Cowell has made it his priority to get Jackson, who is on his Sony BMG label, on the show. It is said that Cowell wants a big name to rival Britney Spears who made a surprise appearance last year.
