If you are bored of watching reality shows, American TV shows and other stuff on the Indian television, then it's the time to explore the digital world and tune into Ekta Kapoor's ALTBalaji's Boygiri, an interesting take on friendship, fun and overarching awkwardness of being boys. As interesting as its title, Boygiri offers netizens a unique take on unseen bromance through the crazy characters who share a bond so strong that actually sets an example of how men never grow up. The madness they live up to all the time would certainly remind you of your boy gang.
The fun element certainly resulted into shenanigans off the set and the actors bonded so well that it translated into better chemistry on screen. ALTBalaji promises to break stereotypes in storytelling and Boygiri will certainly be a humorous example. It's fun, unadulterated, and slaphappy entertainment. Commenting on his enthusiasm for his debut, Mantra says, "We all think that we have grown up once we enter the corporate world and start behaving like mature adults but have you noticed how we lose all inhibitions when we meet our school or college buddies? Boygiri is the story of such boys who look grown up but behave exactly like they would have if it wasn't for society pressures. I play a character very close to my life, a television sports anchor who is going through a lean patch and finds solace in his friends. A fun-loving, bindass character who is proud of his libido and is smooth with women. I've stripped down to bare minimum for this show and especially walking around naked on the sets was hard. This could be one of the boldest and most fun web series of the current era and if anybody had the balls to make such a show it had to be Ekta Kapoor, she is the queen and the king maker. More power to her." AmeyWagh who plays a very twisted but fun character says, "The best part about Boygiri is that some really close real life friends have come together for this show. Balaji has always tried to be innovative with everything they offer and this series for ALTBalaji only proves for this to be true. Boygiri will take the meaning of bromance to the next level! I play the role of Bajju. He is the biggest Jugaadu you have ever seen. He is a friend in need even if you don't need one."
