Los Angeles, Mar 21 (PTI) American President Barack Obama and his predecessor George W Bush are on the wish-list of the makers of long running animated comedy series "The Simpsons". After successfully securing a guest spot from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in 2003, the producers are now hoping for a favour from the popular new president and former president Bush, reported Ace Showbiz.

The makers of the successful show want Obama to provide voice for his cartoon character on the show that chronicles the life of a dysfunctional family in small-town America.

"We'd love to have Barack on the show," said executive producers James L Brooks and Al Jean adding, "No American president has agreed to do it yet, but we'll keep asking. We're putting all the right signals out." Not only that, the execs are crossing fingers for an appearance together with George W Bush.

If their plan works out, the producers will sure have a TRP record-braking episode on their hands.
