The producer had also contributed to the main story of the original movie, which starred Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta among others.

"It's all about getting hold of a beautiful idea and taking it forward. For 'Housefull 2' I got this idea and wanted it to get translated on screen. That's the reason why we decided to pre-pone the shooting of the film as I felt that the sequel would be a good entertainer," Nadiadwala told PTI.

However, he is not looking at being the script and has entrusted the responsibility to a team of writers.

"Yes, there is a team working on it. I am there mainly for any additional screenplay," he says.
