The commerce department of the Aligarh Muslim University had organised a 'Mushaira'(Urdu poetry function), where actress Jaya Prada was to participate in the function.

The actress was shooting for a film in Kochi and took aflight to New Delhi and drove all the was to Aligarh but returned back to New Delhi from the railway overbridge, popularly known as 'Kathpula'.

When we contacted the organisers they told us that a well known Management Guru had promised to fund Jaya Prada's visit to the Aligarh Muslim University but pulled out at the last moment. Upon hearing this Jaya Prada decided to return back.

When we tried to talk to Jaya Prada, to get her version, we were unable to get to her.
