New York, Mar 28 (PTI) Pop star Mariah Carey has sparked pregnancy rumours after she purchased USD 200,000 worth of furniture from a children's store. The "Hero" singer, who is married to actor Nick Cannon, splurged on baby gear including a crib and a highchair all in the colour pink, giving way to rumours that the couple are expecting a baby girl.

The purchases were made at a children's store in San Francisco, reported New York Daily News online.

The newspaper reported that the furnishings would be be set up in the USD 125 million mansion which Carey is reportedly planning to buy.

"She has asked interior decorator Kenneth Bordewick, to advise on her new home and has requested an all-pink nursery. It's going to be over the top!" a source told the newspaper.

Meanwhile there has not yet been denial or confirmation from the couple regarding the reports.
