Ravi Chopra’s Vivek Sharma directed ‘Bhootnath’ is the story of a young boy and a ghost. A young 'Banku' (Aman Siddiqui) and 'Bhootnath' (Amitabh Bachchan), a ghost, become friends and help each other in various walks of life.

'Banku' and his family move into a new house unaware of the fact that it is haunted. 'Bhootnath', the supernatural resident of the house is possessive about his property and sees the new tenants as intruders. 'Bhootnath' tries to scare them away, but eventually ends up becoming friends with the kid.

'Banku' on his part takes it upon himself to uncover the reasons behind Bhootnath’s wandering soul and helps him attain salvation.

The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla who play Banku’s parents.
