Tillotama Shome goes to Cannes with two films

Tillotama Shome, who is going to Cannes for the first time even though she has worked in several award winning films, has not one but two films that are in competition sections. Apart from Sir, Tillotama also has a cameo in Manto which is competing in 'Un Certain Regard' category.

Speaking about the double whammy, a delighted Shome says, "It is nerve-racking and overwhelming to know that I will see our film for the first time with some many people, in one of the worlds most prestigious film festival. I have never dreamt of this, so can't even say it is a dream come true. To go to Cannes with our film in competition has made the wait worthwhile and special. So now with two films in the same year it's joy doubled. Utterly wild!'

Red carpet in Cannes throws a lot of limelight on styling and Ekta Rajani, design consultant and ex Fashion director of Grazia, who is styling Tillottama says, 'Tillotama is comfortable, understated, sharp and modernly Indian in her personal choices of style. It aligns with so much I love as well, it's effortless to dress her. But more than the sartorial compatibility here, it's the fact that she is a free, strong thinker, a person of layers and insight with the stories she choses to be part of, that draws me to her. And makes the process of styling her, interacting with her, exciting.'

Director Rohena Gera describes working with Tillotama as, "an extremely talented actress who has portrayed her character with a lot of sensitivity and depth."
