Shilpa Shukla, who recently gave a brilliant performance in 'Chak De! India', will now be seen in Manan Singh Katohora's English film 'Extrospection'. Shilpa will be play the lead role of 'Charu' and will work alongside Jay Kalra, Tushar Unadkat and Trilok Malik.

According to Shilpa's agent Furqan Qureshi, "Shilpa is very excited about Extrospection, her first English Film."

Equally excited about the project is Manan. " This is Satyajit Ray's 'Charulata' in 2008. What would 'Charu' do in today's day and age, living and working in the New Urban Chic Corporate Culture of New York..."

"I was stunned by Shilpa's performance in 'Khamosh Pani'," adds Manan, "And, 'Chak De! India' only affirmed that she is one of the finest young actresses we have in Bollywood today."

'Extrospection' will be filmed in New York in June 2008.
