A sessions court of Bombay has convicted Yatendra Chauhan, a private security guard who was posted at Shah Rukh Khan's residence at Bandra in Bombay, of shooting down his colleague, Chandrapratap Singh, on August 14, 2006.

Chauhan had shot a round from his revolver pressed against Singh's chest, when the latter had mocked him for sleeping on the job. Both had been posted by a security agency at the superstar's residence.

The court is expected to sentence Chauhan for murder today (May 12).
