Scriptwriter Yardi makes directorial debut with ´C Kkompany´

Explaining the title of his film, Yardi said ,"Since we could not begin the title with 'K', we compensated it by having two Ks owing to Balaji Telefilms'(production) liking to titles with 'K'." Yardi said the film is based in Mumbai and revolves around three underdogs from a middle class background, adding "their exploits even reach Parliament. It's a light comedy and a feel good film. It's a mix of 'Hera Pheri' and 'Munnabhai'." The film stars Tushar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty.

Also, telesoap queen and the film's producer Ekta Kapoor, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar are making a special appearance in the film and will play themselves, he said.

When asked about the transition from a script writer to director, he said that he always wanted to make movies.

"I wrote my first two films and thoroughly enjoyed the process with both the directors belonging to two different schools of filmmaking--Sangeet Sivan (Kya Kool Hain Hum) and MadhurBhandarkar (Traffic Signal)," he said.

"I am also scripting a sequel to 'Kya Kool Hai Hum'. The sequel will have the same actors-Tushar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh. It will be a hilarious comedy but the adult content would be toned down. The scripting is still in nascent stage," he added.
