Mumbai, Jun 3 (PTI) Script writer-turned-director Sachin Yardi, whose directorial debut venture 'C Kkompany', will hit the screens this August, feels that he has a natural flair for comedy. "Comedy is my forte. If 'Traffic Signal' was a slice of life and black comedy, 'Kya Kool Hain hum' was a hilarious one with an adult content," Yardi, who scripted both the films before turning director with "C Kkompany", told PTI. Explaining the title of his film, Yardi said ,"Since we could not begin the title with 'K', we compensated it by having two Ks owing to Balaji Telefilms'(production) liking to titles with 'K'." Yardi said the film is based in Mumbai and revolves around three underdogs from a middle class background, adding "their exploits even reach Parliament. It's a light comedy and a feel good film. It's a mix of 'Hera Pheri' and 'Munnabhai'." The film stars Tushar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Raima Sen, Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty.
When asked about the transition from a script writer to director, he said that he always wanted to make movies. "I wrote my first two films and thoroughly enjoyed the process with both the directors belonging to two different schools of filmmaking--Sangeet Sivan (Kya Kool Hain Hum) and MadhurBhandarkar (Traffic Signal)," he said. "I am also scripting a sequel to 'Kya Kool Hai Hum'. The sequel will have the same actors-Tushar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh. It will be a hilarious comedy but the adult content would be toned down. The scripting is still in nascent stage," he added.
