London, June 8 (PTI) Oscar winning director Danny Boyle has revealed that he was left starstruck after meeting Clint Eastwood during an awards dinner. The 'Slumdog Millionaire' filmmaker is a big fan of Eastwood's work and was stunned to spot the actor-turned-director at a Hollywood event during this year's awards season in Los Angeles, Contactmusic reported.

Boyle was over excited about the meeting because he was able to boast to his father about meeting a movie icon.

"I met Clint Eastwood, because as part of the awards season they do these dinners for directors who are 'in consideration', as they say, and they put you all together in a room. So I met Clint Eastwood, and that impressed my dad - and not much impresses my dad!," Boyle said.

"He thought, 'Clint Eastwood, blimey!' That was wonderful, actually, and to meet him was a real thrill. Extraordinary!," Boyle added.

"He makes everything seem easy, and he makes the making of his films seem so easy as well and they're not all like that! So he was great," Boyle said.

The director also said that it takes a lot for him to be wowed by a celebrity, adding, "I don't get so starstruck meeting actors, but I do meeting directors and writers."
