Stars put their best foot forward for IIFA awards gala

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who turned heads last year with a red gown by Christian Dior decided to go traditional this year and entered wearing a green sari with husband Abhishek Bachchan who donned a black tuxedo.

"We are here not just for the awards but to enjoy the performances and be a part of Bollywood's biggest celebration," Aishwarya said.

Meanwhile the other leading couple of the industry, Hrithik and Susanne Roshan said that they were here to win.

"My wife wants me to win so better that I get the award or she will throw me out," said the actor jokingly.

The heartthrob's black tuxedo was complimented by Susanne's grey floor length gown.

Priyanka Chopra who had earlier pulled out of performing at the awards ceremony made a surprise entry at the green carpet wearing a red Manish Malhotra saree.

IIFA ambassador superstar Amitabh Bachchah cut a dapper figure in black dinner jacket and walked with wife Jaya Bachchan.
