Mumbai, Jun 16 (PTI) The life of sandalwood smuggler Veerappan will soon be brought on celluloid by Bollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. Varma is in the process of scripting the film. He met the slain smuggler's wife Muthulaxmi to discuss the storyline, sources close to the filmmaker told PTI.Prashant Pandey, who wrote Varma's latest release "Sarkar Raj" will direct the film, they said.
The film will dwell on how Veerappan grew to be a cunning and monstrous outlaw, and how he met his end, sources said, adding that the filmmaker plans to cast newcomers for this project.Varma is currently busy with the post-production of his next releases "Contract" and "Phoonk" scheduled for release in July and August respectively.
