New Delhi, Jun 16 (PTI) The singing sensation, Shibani Kashyap, whose journey from All India radio (AIR) jingle to "Zinda Hoon Main..." has won many accolades for her, is now going international as she has just completed a solo song for Pakistani music director Farukkh Abid.Shibani has recently sung a song "Tanha-Tanha raaton mein neend nahi aati hain" for a Pakistani play "Tumne Chaha Hi Nahin" to be telecast on Pakistan's 'Hum' TV in August this year.
"Farukkh came here from Karachi to meet me. He got my number from the studio, where I recorded "Zinda Hoon Main..." song for film 'Zinda.' We had a talk which resulted in my singing of this song," says Shibani, who these days is busy with her upcoming yet untitled album. Shibani, who is musically binding two nations into one single tune with her song says people in Pakistan were always in love with Hindi movies and songs from Bollywood but there was no visible feeling amongst Indians. The time has come to do that, she feels. "Our movies and songs were always loved by Pakistani people and our stars always enjoyed fame there, but same thing didn't happen here due to some restrictions and accessibility problems in that country. But, I think through the mystical thread of music, we may be able to bridge the gap between two countries," she says.
