Pune, Jun 20 (PTI) Marathi film and stage actor Chandrakant Gokhale died of cancer here today. Gokhale (88) had acted in 70 Marathi and 16 Hindi films besides 64 plays. 'Manini', 'Suvasini', 'Prapunch' were some of the movies that made him popular with the audience.

He is survived by two sons, including noted actor Vikram Gokhale.
