Big B, Anil Ambani enter joint venture for film production

Mumbai, June 25 (PTI) A B Corp, the home banner of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has entered a joint venture with industrialist friend Anil Ambani's Reliance Big Entertainment for film production. "Four directors have been shortlisted for projects which will go on the floor begining 2008-end. A few other projects are at the consideration stage and will be announced shortly," Wing commander P Ramesh, CEO of A B Corp told PTI.

The four directors shortlisted are Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Rohan Sippy, Sujoy Ghosh and Balki.

Ramesh said that Reliance Big Entertainment and A B Corp are equal partners in the film production in terms of creative input and finance.

When asked whether the Bachchans would be acting in the film, Ramesh said, "Bachchan senior will feature in Dwivedi and Ghosh's films while Abhishek will act in Sippy's film. Both Abhishek and Amitabh will be seen together in Balki's film." Ghosh is also considering Abhishek for his next project, he added.

In the subsequent movies to follow under A B Corp-Reliance Big Entertainment, the decision to cast Bachchans would be taken as per the demands of the script, Ramesh said.
