Mumbai, July 5 (PTI) Noted actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar has threatened legal action against director Farah Khan for allegedly making derogatory remarks against him. "She spoke bad about me and accused me of seeking publicity in criticising the spoof on me in the film 'Om Shanti Om.' I will have to consult my lawyers on whether I can take legal action. Let's see what they say," Manoj Kumar told PTI here today. Efforts to contact Farah Khan proved futile.
Early this week, Manoj Kumar, while speaking to PTI, had accused Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan of betraying his trust and not deleting the scenes he felt objectionable. Kumar had said he has conveyed his displeasure to filmmaker Yash Chopra who had brought SRK and Farah to his house for a patch-up. "SRK, who is the producer, even promised him that the scenes would be deleted," Manoj Kumar added. In a spoof in 'Om Shanti Om', a junior artiste played by SRK gains entry to a movie premier imitating Manoj Kumar. When the real Manoj Kumar (a body double of the actor) comes, he is beaten up by security guards. Moreover, the photograph on his driving license shown by the 'real' Manoj Kumar to the guards is in the actor's trade mark style of covering the face with his hand.
