Aamir : Prime Minister Should Come Under Lokpal Purview!

As part of their referendum, a 20-item questionnaire was sent to Aamir by Mr Hazare's NGO, India Against Corruption, asking his views on both the drafts of government and civil society.

According to the actor, the Prime Minister should come under the purview of Bill; Lokpal should have power to grant permission to register an FIR against a judge; Lokpal should be able to investigate allegations against MPs; anti-corruption branch of CBI should be merged with Lokpal; corrupt officers should be penalised; the penalty amount should be compensated to the citizen whose work has been delayed; and it should not be under the government's control but should be accountable to the people of the country.

The issue on which he differed was selection of Lokpal. The actor opined that no politician should be in the panel. "Selection process should have four judges and as many independent constitutional authorities and no politicians," he wrote.
