- Zafri Mudasser Nofil           Let us know what you think about this story

New Delhi, July 27 (PTI) She gave us films like the satirical "Chashme Buddoor" and "Katha" and the popular television soap "Ados Pados". And now, 11 years after making "Saaz", Sai Paranjape is back with "Khoon Toh Hona Hi Tha", a comedy-thriller.

"The plot is almost ready. Work on the film is likely to begin in November," Paranjape told PTI.

The film stars Deepti Naval, Suhasini Mulay, Yatin Karekar, Mita Vashisht and Dilip Prabhavalkar among others.

"The plot is set in a picturesque hill station. A tourist is murdered and the mystery revolving around it provides much needed inspiration to an aspiring scriptwriter," she says.

There is a lot of comedy element in the film, where Mita Vashisht will be seen as a cabaret dancer.

The story is written by the veteran filmmaker herself.

"Saaz" with Shabana Azmi, Aruna Irani, Raghuvir Yadav and Zakir Hussain in the cast was about two sisters into professional singing. The film, loosely based on the lives of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle with music by Zakir Hussain, Bhupen Hazarika, Raj Kamal and Yashwant Dev, won rave reviews from critics.

But Paranjape says this will not be her first film after "Saaz".

"I had made two children's films in between," she says.
