Cocaine Content To Decide Fardeen Khan´s Punishment

A special court has recently asked the Narcotics Control board (NCB) to conduct a forensic anlysis to determine the percentage of cocaine in the haul siezed from Fardeen Khan, who was aressted on May 5, 2001 while allegedly buying cocaine from a drug dealer.

If the cocaine content in the bag siezed from Fardeen Khan is found to be less than 2 grams, the maximum jail sentence for Fardeen and two others caught with him would be six months. If it is found to be substantially more than 2 grams, the sentence would be far more severe.

The case to determine the cocaine content is being heard on a plea by Fardeen's co-accused, Tony Gomes.
