Chennai, Aug 4 (PTI) Noted film director Ram Gopal Varma today said he welcomed kin of actors entering film industry, saying whoever has the right talent succeeds in the celluloid world. "It is a welcome one. People should come forward.. whoever has the right talent succeeds well," he told an interactive session here organised in connection with launch of the trailer of his coming movie "Phoonk".

"It's not whether they are sons' of popular actor or actresses but if they have talent they will succeed," Varma, who is all set to make a film based on the life of dreaded sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, said.

About Phoonk, which deals with a conflict between science and superstition, he said though he was an atheist he did not want to wound others who believe on supernaturals.

Phoonk is the story of a confirmed atheist whose belief systems are shaken up when his loved ones are subjected to unspeakable horrors by forces whose very existence his rational mind refuses to accept.

"Being an atheist, I would like to believe that there is rational and scientific explanation to each and every one of these dark forces. But till I know and understand the same I am forced to presume that they are supernatural happenings," he said.
