London, Aug 5 (PTI) If you thought a 92-year-old Maqbool Fida Hussain exhausted his strokes, think again. The prolific painter is now busy playing with words. Currently living in self-exile in Dubai and London, Hussain has been penning poems in between working on his canvas and plans to publish his collection, sources close to him said. The flamboyant and versatile artist whose single canvases have fetched up to USD 2 million at a recent Christie's auction here writes in Hindi.
Awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1991, Hussain is the highest paid painter in India today. He has also dabbled in production of a few movies including Gaja Gamini and Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities. His autobiography is being made into a movie titled "The Making of the Painter", starring Shreyas Talpade as the young Hussain. Hussain recently announced that he would return to India as soon as he finishes his work in Dubai and London.
