Mumbai, Aug 5 (PTI) Veteran actor Manoj Kumar today filed moved a court here seeking a stay on the telecast of Shah Rukh Khan's home productiion 'Om Shanti Om', in which a scene shows Khan mimicking Kumar, on television. Kumar sought the stay on the telecast after Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan did not delete a scene from the movie, which makes a "mockery" of Kumar.

According to the application filed in the sessions court, Shah Rukh Khan and film maker Farah Khan had assured Kumar that the scene would be deleted before it was screened in theatres.

However, the movie was screened in all theatres without deleting the scene. Kumar's lawyer Ashok Sarogi said Shah Rukh and Kumar had entered into a written agreement that the scene would be deleted.

The application said either the movie should not be telecast or the scene should be deleted. It also said if the movie is telecast with the scene, in which Shah Rukh mimicks Kumar, then a defamation case would be filed.

The movie is to be aired on Sony Television on August 10. Kumar's application will be heard tomorrow.
