´Breakaway´ :Akshay´s Indo-Canadian Ice Hockey Film By Lieberman of Disney’s ´Mighty Ducks´ Fame!

The film directed by Robert Lieberman renowned for Disney’s 'Mighty Ducks' will revolve around the theme of ice-hockey for which Akshay Kumar has roped in Vinay Virmani to play the lead.

Canadian born Vinay Virmani an exceptional ice hockey player from the Canadian South Asian community has attended the Lee Streesberg Theatre and Film Institute and will play the prime role in the sports centric film, a theme Akshay Kumar is well acquainted with.

Says a source “Since this is Akshay’s first Hollywood venture he decided to produce a film based on sports. He is very excited about it since he’s had a longstanding bond with Canada and is looking forward to working with the team on the film”

'Breakaway' also stars the Canadian born Emily Van Camp.
