´Endhiran´ (´Robot´) : Shankar´s Rajnikanth-Aishwarya Starrer To Take Two More Years!

The budget of the most ambitious film of the director (and of India!) is said to be several hundred crores of rupees! Believe it or not but Shankar was finding it difficult to get a cinematographer for 'Endhiran'('Robot') because the chosen director of photography would be required to block his dates for two full years for this film.

And knowing the tough task master Shankar is, he would not allow the cameraman to take up other assignments during this time period.

Finally, Shankar opted for a cinema­tographer from the advertising world. Reportedly, Randy, the director of photography, has been paid a fee of Rs. 1 crore for his services.
