Complain Against Aamir Khan For Â´Promoting WichcraftÂ´!

A complaint was today registered in Bihar's capital Patna against film actor and producer Aamir Khan for an offensive remark relating to the skyrocketing prices compared to witch in his film 'Peepli [Live]'.

Mr Deo Kumar Singh, convenor of an organisation fighting against the injustice being meted out to women in the name of dubbing them as witch, had filed a complaint in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate.

In his complaint, Mr Singh alleged that a song in the film had compared inflation with ''Daayan'' (witch).

Any action aimed at promoting witchcraft in any form was liable for punishment under the provision of established law in the country, he added.

The complainant said Mr Khan through his film ended in promoting witchcraft by using the word as synonyms to high prices affecting the life of common man.
