Shilpa´s British tormentor to star in Big Boss

The two were inmates of Big Brother house during the British series but in the Indian version, Shetty will be anchoring the show.

"For Jade, it's a chance to show that she is not a racist," a source close to her was quoted as saying by British media.

Goody's bullying of Shetty led to more than 50,000 complaints to television watchdog Ofcom and the British leadership, including Gordon Brown, who was then Chancellor, was forced to defend the country as a land "of fairness and tolerance".

The public wrath prompted Goody to apologise and she flew to India on a private goodwill visit.

Goody, whose career suffered a downturn after the row and was recently confronted by a cancer scare, is hoping to revive her fortune with the stint in India.

Her friends insist she will be able to turn her image around by appearing on the new show which starts on August 17.

"She is the first to admit that she did have her problems with Shilpa, but this will be like a role reversal and a chance to show India and the world what she is really like," the source said.
