Chennai, Aug 12 (PTI) Bollywood star Aamir Khan, whose directorial debut in 'Taare Zameen Par' won him all round acclaim, said he just wanted to make good films to entertain moviegoers across the country. "Audience want something new and different. This encourages us to handle different subjects", said Khan, who is here to receive the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Endowment Award for best debutant director for his movie Taare Zameen Par. "It is the film and not the star which pulls crowds to theatres and contribute to the success at the box office," Khan told reporters yesterday.
He also announced that 'Taare Zameen Par' would be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu. The dubbed versions, "Val Nakshatram" in Tamil and "Neelamedha Tharalu" in Telugu, will be released on September 12 and distributed by leading entertainment company Pyramid Saimira. "Lots of parents and teachers especially in southern states had written to me to dub the movie in Tamil and Telugu for the benefit of children," he said.
