Police informer Salim Siddique alias Salim Chor - whose tip-off helped police nab Fardeen Khan in a drug possession case - died last year when a truck rammed into his scooter at Sewri in Bombay.

The police did not make any headway in the case then but with some contract killings being executed in asimilar manner in recent times, Salim's case has been reopened for investigations.
