Vir's idea of love is very limited to lust till he discovers through very funny and true to life encounters with seven beautiful women that there is a lot more to love than lust. It deals with the confusion and convenience of love and lust. It talks about a lotta things men and women know about eachother but never say to eachother. Its also very interactive as all the characters talk directly to the audience about their point of views from time to time.

So the story of Vir who comes to bombay after studying in the Pusa Catering College and working at a five star hotel as a sous chef (second in command in the kitchen). His big dream is to own his own restaurant. Like all men of his age a lot of his thoughts and actions are around and about women. He lusts after almost every woman he meets who he feels he wont have to commit to.

The flavours in his khichdi of love include:

Divya Dutta's character (tandoori masala) who is his neighbour and landlords wife who loves learning recipes from him. he likes the secrecy of it.

Sada (ghar ki dal) who is his only girl pal he hasnt slept with not from the lack of trying though. they are really close friends.

Sonali Kulkarni (bhareli mirchi) who is the bai who works at his place. who according to vir is as beautiful as any bollywood heroin if she wears better clothes. definetly the strongest of flavours as she is a working woman who doesnt take shit from any one including vir and doesnt need a man to support her in anyway.

Riya Sen (baby corn) who is his neighbour and still in school. absolutely in love with vir. but vir is scared of her as it might get him thrown out of the building.

Rituparna Sen Gupta (mishti dhoi) who runs a book shop in virs hotel. vir is absolutely mesmerised by her elusiveness and intelligence. goes crazy about her.

Jesse Randhawa (green salad) who is a super model who loves virs salads and often comes to eat in his restaurant. vir s crazy about her since he had seen her in a beer commercial but the insecure indian man in vir gets damn hurt one fine day when she finally stands up from the table and turns out to be taller than him.

Kalpana Pandit (sizzler) who is a powerful business woman who lures him and uses him as he often uses women. The old casting couch kinda thing.

All leads to a wonderfully funny journey to cook the deleciosly tasty khichdi of love, garnished with all the great spices of love and lust.
