PVR Drags Rajkumar Santoshi To Court
- Planet Bollywood Special Correspondant           Let us know what you think about this story

While on Rajkumar Santoshi, the filmmaker seems to be court case-prone. Not many years ago, Tips Films dragged him to court after he overshot the budget of 'The Legend Of Bhagat Singh'. After that, Keshu Ramsay and Santoshi landed in court over a monetary dispute. And now, PVR has taken the director to court. Rajkumar Santoshi had been signed to direct two films for PVR. While he had begun the recce work of 'Asoka', the other project – 'Backstreet Boys' – never took off.

Since PVR was reportedly keen to start both the films together, 'Asoka' was also stalled. With Santoshi now having started the shooting of Tips Films’ 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani', PVR has filed a petition in the Bombay high court asking it to restrain him from working on any other film as, according to the contract between them (PVR and Santoshi), he would not take up any work till the principal photography of both the films of PVR wasn’t completed.

PVR, in its petition, has also accused the director of selling the script of Backstreet Boys to Tips and instead titling the film 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'. The next date of the court is September 1.

Meanwhile, the case filed by Tips is, obviously, over as Santoshi is directing the aforementioned film for Tips. The Keshu Ramsay case, of course, is still on in the Bombay high court.
