Slain PoliticianÂ´s Kin Sends Notice To Ram Gopal Verma

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (PTI) The family of a slain political leader has sent a letter to noted Bollywood director Ram Gopal Verma for allegedly portraying him in a poor light in his upcoming movie 'Raktacharitra'.

The family of S Obul Reddy, son of an MLA in Anantapur district, has sent a legal notice to Varma for allegedly showing him in poor light.

Varma, however, said he is not afraid of such threats.

"Even if Obul Reddy returns as a ghost, I will not be afraid," he said in a statement purportedly issued by him.

'Raktacharitra' is a reported to be a story of a factional feud between slain TDP MLA Paritala Ravi and Maddelacheruvu Suri, both belonging to Anantapur district.

Obul Reddy was killed in Hyderabad in the 1990s allegedly by rival groups.
