Sahara One Motion Pictures, Popcorn Motion Pictures & Balaji Motion Pictures have taken this unique initiative and is releasing the film on the day after Diwali as the mood of the season and the theme of the film go hand-in-hand.

Diwali time is known to be the highest spending time for Indians. E.M.I. - Equated Monthly Installment, takes a look at this very issue, hence the makers of the film have decided to release the film during this time.

The film is produced by Popcorn Entertainment & Balaji Motion Pictures and is directed by Saurabh Kabra. EMI stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Ashish Choudhary, Urmila Matondkar, Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Oberoi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Pushkar Jog, Manoj Joshi and Dayashankar Pandey.
