The more adventurous media persons have even ann­ounced that Aishwarya Rai and Abhi­shek Bachchan will be essaying the roles played by Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bach­chan in the 1973 film. How­ever, Pawan Kumar, who had produced the earlier Abhi­maan, has clarified that he is the sole and exclusive copyright holder of the film and that he has not parted with the re­making rights.

He has no plans of remaking the film himself too!
