It was touted as the final battle for supremacy (more for prestige!) between Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Yes, we are talking about the National Awards 2007, where SRK was nominated for 'Chak De! India' and Aamir Khan for 'Taare Zameen Par', in the best actor category!

However, if media sources are to be believed, its it is neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Aamir Khan but the 'Wanted' villain (Ghani Bhai) and Tamil actor, Prakash Raj, who gets the best actor award for 2007 for his performance in Priyadarshan's Tamil film 'Kanchivaram'.

The awards are expected to be announced shortly.
