Uniquely Singapore To Host Zee Cine Awards 2010

Mohan Gopinath, Business Head, Zee Cinema told reporters here yesterday that the event has been scheduled on January 14, 2011.

So far, Zee Cine Awards has travelled to Dubai (2004), London (2005), Mauritius (2006) and London (2008).

Gopinath said there had been a break in organising the event due to logistics and operationalisation issues. "It did not make economic and business sense. Hence, we could not go ahead," he said.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Marina Bay Sands Vice President Maunik Thacker said the Indian market is extremely important and there is no better way to reach the consumers than cinema.
