David DhawanÂ´s Son To Direct Akshay KumarÂ´s Percept Pictures Project

Rohit, the elder son of David Dhawan, will direct Akshay Kumar in his maiden film. Rohit was actually working on two scripts – one which he was writing for his dad and which was to be produced by Percept Picture Company, and the second, which would mark his debut as a director.

But when 24-year-old Rohit narrated the first script (which he had written for his dad to direct) to Akshay Kumar, the latter not only loved it but also asked Rohit himself to direct the film. Akshay even spoke to David to ask him if he would mind if his son made the film instead of himself.

Of course, an overjoyed David was more than willing to let Rohit direct the film which he (David) was to direct. And so, the film will now be produced jointly by Percept and Akshay Kumar and will star the latter. It will be directed by Rohit who has done a filmmaking course from New York University.
