Vidya Balan who has been the national brand ambassador for sanitation for the last 3 years, has been working towards the cause and taking time out from her film and brand commitments ,to travel across the country to educate people on the importance of sanitation.

The actress is currently on tour in Bihar and UP, areas that still do not have access to private toilet and bath facilities.

Vidya, who was in Patna yesterday, is also delivered a speech in the presence of the chief ministers of both states, Nitish Kumar and Akhilesh Yadav. She will also be conducting many such activities where locals will be invited to encourage sanitation in the country.

Vidya confirms the news and says, “ I was happy to visit Patna for the first time to share with people the importance of hygiene and sanitation. I will also visited Lucknow for the same purpose and hope to leave an impact that will consequently lead to positive changes in people’s toilet habits”.
