Opportunities Galore For Aspiring Filmmakers & Screenwriters

PassionForCinema is accepting 60 second entries for PFCOne 2010. Deadline for submissions is November 15. The jury consists of Anurag Kashyap, Christina Marouda, Dibakar Banerjee, Hansal Mehta, Nishikant Kamat, Rohan Sippy, Shridhar Raghavan, Sriram Raghavan and Suparan Verma. And, awards include four to six week internship opportunities with Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, Hansal Mehta, Nishikant Kamat, Rohan Sippy, Sriram Raghavan and Suparan Verma. One winner also receives an IFFLA pass for all regular screenings for the festival in 2010.

But, that’s not it...there’s one more opportunity for emerging filmmakers—The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is also accepting submissions for the inaugural IFFLA Development Fund. The program will award a $10,000 grant to an emerging filmmaker to develop an original feature-length screenplay. Furthermore, the winner will also receive feedback from the Fund’s panel and film-making software.

Well, well, looks like it’s time for aspiring filmmakers to get busy!
