The relief work personally undertaken by noted film-maker Prakash Jha continued to gather momentum as several other film stars joined or offered to join hands with him in providing relief to the flood victims in the north Bihar.

Reports said popular stars like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Amir Khan have also joined Jha's team to ease the pain of more than 3 lakh people in over seven districts who have lost everything, including their homes, following the breach in Kusaha Dam on Kosi River nearly a month ago.

Akshay Kumar who is currently in Bangkok transferred Rs. 25 lakh to the flood relief fund and pledged to adopt a village in Bihar by bearing its entire rebuilding expenses, Jha said.

Other film personalities like Manmohan Shetty, Nana Patekar, Ajay Devgan, Shatrughan Sinha, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpai, Manoj Tiwari Mridul, Neetu Chandra, Udit Narayan, Sanjay Nirupam, and Dinesh Lal Yadav have already joined Jha in his attempt to rehabilitate flood-hit regions.
