Thailand And UK Lose Out To France As The Best Location!

The award is given for top foreign locations used by Bollywood films in different catagories.

France won top three awards-- 'Best Presentation to a Foreign Location', 'New Entrant through promotion through Indian Films,' and ' Best Promoted Destination for Indian Filmmakers'. Thailand retained its place as the most preferred location for Indian films as it received the 'Maximum Indian Films shot for Single Location' award. London got the award for 'Maximum Milage for a Foreign Location' for film 'London Dreams'.

France, which is the world's number one tourist destination with 75 million people visitors, is wooing Indian filmmakers to its shores.

The government is offering 20 per cent rebate on expenses of Euro one million (Rs six crore). It is also offering visa for production companies, hassle-free location permits without fees, experienced line producers and its landmark departmental store-'Lafayette'- is soon expected to be available for shoots.
