Gulshan Bawra To Be Conferred With Kishore Kumar Award, Posthumously

Bhopal, Oct 12 (PTI) Famous lyricist Gulshan Bawra will be posthumously conferred upon the 12th National Kishore Kumar Award tomorrow in Kandhwa district, where the legendary singer was born.

Bawra's wife Anju Mehta will receive the award from Madhya Pradesh Culture and Public Relations Minister Laxmikant Sharma, official sources said.

Bawra penned 240 songs in his 42-year-long career, most of which were composed by music director R D Burman, they added.
