After a week in hospital, Big B may be discharged tomorrow

Mumbai, Oct 16 (PTI) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, admitted to Lilavati Hospital here for treatment of abdominal pain last week, is likely to be discharged tomorrow. Though the hospital authorities were tight-lipped about the discharge, sources close to the actor told PTI that "in all likelihood, he will be discharged around noon or afternoon. He is perfectly fine." Bachchan was admitted to the private hospital on October 11, his 66th birthday, after he complained of severe abdominal pain.

Blood investigations and CT scan of the abdomen were done on him and the reports were normal, doctors had said.

Doctors are happy with the progress made by the actor and have said he is on the road to recovery. Bachchan is currently on a liquid diet.

Doctors have, however, refrained from declaring the cause(s) of the pain and the line of treatment given to the Bollywood icon.
