New Delhi, Oct 20 (PTI) Journalist and writer Khalid Mohamed's much anticipated comeback in 'Rutba' as a director is facing a roadblock as the film is yet to find a producer after Vikram Bhatt backed out from the project.Bhatt was supposed to produce 'Rutba', touted as the sequel to Shyam Benegal's 'Zubeidaa' and is based on Mohamed's own life.
"Basically Khalid Mohamed and Vikram Bhatt have split, so 'Rutba' is not with Vikram anymore. If it is happening it will happen with some other producer," Duggall told PTI. The actor, who made his debut with Bhatt's film '1920', also said that he is in constant touch with Mohamed and will be playing the lead if the film is made at all.
