Ramanathapuram (TN), Oct 25 (PTI) A court here today rejected bail pleas of Tamil film directors Seeman and Ameer, arrested on sedition charges, and remanded them to judicial custody till November 7. The two were arrested in Chennai yesterday in connection with a case registered against them here by the "Q" branch police for making 'inflammatory speeches' during the Oct 19 Tamil cinema industry rally at Rameswaram in the district in support of Sri Lankan Tamils. Magistrate Thangavel, rejecting their bail applications, remanded them to judicial custody till November 7 when they were produced in the court by the Q branch police.
Seeman and Ameer were earlier brought from Chennai to Madurai by a flight this morning and then here by road.
