Apart from the producer, the only common link that the 11 directors share in the Indie film 'X: Past or Present' is music composer Sudeep Swaroop. The musician from South has composed music for all the segments being directed by 11 diverse filmmakers. So, while most would dream of starting with one acclaimed filmmaker, Sudeep is actually making his Hindi feature film debut with 11 names.

Talking about working with 11 directors with strikingly different cinematic styles, Sudeep says, "The film may have been directed by 11 filmmakers but I approached it as one film and because of that a lot of things were uncomplicated. The idea was to maintain the illusion of it being one whole film through its sound and that's what I have tried to do. I have tried to get more into the minds of the audiences than just the directors so I saw it as one film rather than as 11 segments."
