´Hello´ music fails to impress

New Delhi, Nov 7 (PTI) Good music, especially in Bollywood, is something we don't find so easily these days. 'Hello,' the much-hyped filmi version of Chetan Bhagat's 'One Night @ the Call Center,' failed to do much at the box office. So is its music. Not even its unconventional setting about a call centre has been able to woo the BPO fraternity.

Composers Sajid, Wajid try various tricks but fails to come up with a single listenable number.

The opening track 'Hello', in which the composer duo tries to experiment too much with beeps and calypso sounds and drums, seems to go nowhere.

Sung by a host of singers like Wajid, Suzy Q, Ishq Bector, Herchelle, Merlin and Tim, the number also has a party mix. One wonders whether the BPO employees will want to shake a leg to this number.

Then there is "Rab ka banda" by Sonu Nigam, Zubin Garg and Sunidhi Chauhan. Even the three seasoned singers fail to make this number, which Sajid, Wajid try to give a Sufi feeling with fast beats, listenable.

Daler Mehendi and Sunidhi then come up with "Karle baby dance wance", which sounds like any one in the long-list of recent bhangra numbers.

"Bang bang bang" is supposed to be a rock number by Wajid. But die-hard rockers will go for the forward button when this song is played.
