Now that 'Roadside Romeo' has not done well at the box-office, the multiplexes are once again having the last laugh at the expense of Yash Raj Films.Aditya Chopra, in a bid to have an over-saturated release for his animation film, had booked it last week at almost every multiplex in every city. Several multiplexes had feared, there wouldn’t be such a large audience for the film which would qualify as an experimental one, given the underdeveloped market for animation films in India. Why, some multiplexes did not either want to play the film or wanted to screen it in a far lesser number of shows than the producer wanted.
But with 'Golmaal Returns' and 'Fashion' releasing mid-week (on 29th October) to take advantage of 'Diwali' and with 'Roadside Romeo' not having worked well, the multiplexes have quite happily reduced the shows of 'Roadside Romeo' quite drastically after five days.
